Pharmacies play a central role in healthcare and have a direct impact on the health and well-being of their customers. The Alphega pharmacies (part of Alliance Healthcare) make life as easy as possible for their customers, offering numerous convenient solutions and a wide range of services, such as free home delivery of repeat prescriptions, diabetes care, and smoking cessation support programs.
Now it’s time to bring that same convenience online: a completely new website for all Alphega pharmacies.
UX
Warm, clear, and user-friendly design and process
Together with Weekend Creative Agency, we developed a design that perfectly aligns with the vision of Alphega pharmacies. The focus was on creating a clear and user-friendly design. Another key principle was ensuring that visitors are presented with information in an organized way and can easily find what they need. And we succeeded. In collaboration with Good News, our dedicated project team translated the design and requirements into a fast, fully functional website.
CMS
Features and Technology
First and foremost, a website that is easy to manage—which called for Drupal as the CMS. The choice for this open-source content management system was also influenced by the fact that other Alliance Healthcare platforms already use Drupal.
Another key functionality was the ability to create a dedicated page and CMS access for each franchisee, allowing services to be added per franchise pharmacy. Migrating valuable content from the old website to the new one was also a priority, as well as implementing a comprehensive search function. Finally, secure forms were added to allow website visitors to register with a pharmacy.
These are just some of the features of the new online environment for Alphega pharmacies. The functionalities make visitors feel truly welcome on the website. They can immediately select their “own” pharmacy when visiting the site for the first time and then view the information relevant to that specific pharmacy, such as opening hours, contact details, and available services. Visitors also have access to an advanced search function that provides valuable health advice and useful tips.
A Hassle-Free Process
Just like Alphega pharmacies, service was a key principle for the project team. That’s why Alphega pharmacies were fully supported throughout the entire project. Through close, fully digital collaboration, decisions and delivered (partial) products were addressed immediately. Quick communication and short lines—two essential ingredients for a successful outcome!
In addition, we ensured a smooth and easy onboarding process for all franchisees. A clear email, including a demo video, explained in a few simple steps how easy the CMS is to use and how they can customize and update their own pages.
