Pleegzorg Nederland supports 29 regional organizations in finding and guiding safe foster families. To digitally strengthen this mission, Solvy replaced two outdated systems with one stable Drupal platform that centralizes both administration and regional recruitment.
Challenge
The digital presence of Pleegzorg Nederland was running into technical limitations. The old website operated on two separate CMS systems, which made management time-consuming and costly. Content updates and the launch of nationwide campaigns required too much manual intervention.
In addition, there were specific functional requirements:
- Regional segmentation: The website had to present 29 different organizations in a clear way.
- Intelligent routing: Visitors needed to reach the correct regional organization via one central form based on their postal code.
- E-learning integration: A seamless connection to the new learning platform for foster families was required.
- Reliable knowledge base: An extensive library of articles, podcasts and e-learnings had to be easy to search.
Solution
One central system for management and content
We completely rebuilt Pleegzorg.nl technically on Drupal. By migrating the two separate systems into one CMS, the management burden has been drastically reduced. Editors can now independently create pages, place campaign promotions, and maintain the extensive knowledge base.
Smart postcode-routing
To lower the threshold for aspiring foster parents, we automated the regional routing. Despite 29 independent organizations behind the website, the visitor experiences one unified journey. After entering a postal code, the system ensures that a request or registration for an information event lands directly with the correct local organization.
Integration of information provision
The website serves as the central starting point for both new and existing foster parents:
- Self-test: Prospective parents can take the test 'Is fostering something for you?' directly on the website.
- E-learning integration: Through a connection with the external learning platform, foster families have direct access to training materials and supporting tools.
- Library: A stable architecture for delivering diverse content formats, from articles to podcasts, reviewed by experts.
